Moving into a new city and not knowing anything about the areas, the schools, the community, was a pretty tough go, we expected it to be stressful and it was!  We were spending most evening combing the MLS and most weekends driving aimlessly around looking for open houses, alot of which were sold by the time we got there!  We were pushed to sign contracts with agents we didn't even know and honestly, we were ready to pull our hair out!

We just want to know if they ever stop to eat? 

We were moving from out of town and no time was the wrong time, Terry or Margot were always available when we were, to look at houses.  

We had been out earlier in the day with Margot looking at homes;  we broke for the day to mull over what we'd seen and decided to stop by to visit friends in one of the areas we'd been interested in. 

While there, we watched a sign go up on a lawn across the road and we were so excited because it was an older home, exactly what we'd been looking for!   It was on the weekend right around dinner time but we were excited at the prospect of the location and getting it done so we took a chance and called Margot back.  Within 20 minutes she arrived and showed us through the home, within 60 minutes our offer was prepared and signed and that same day, we owned the home!

Had we been put off that day, we might have lost the home of our dreams, so thanks Terry & Margot, we appreciate all your help!

Not only were we concerned that we would not be able to sell our home in Pickering in the current market but when we did sell immediately and had only three weeks until closing we were terrified that we could be homeless! We knew where we wanted to live but that is not always more than a dream considering that we were hoping to live in one of the most beautiful and sought-after neighbourhoods in Toronto. When, just over 2 weeks before our closing approached and we were ready to consider renting, Margot sent a listing that had come out for (close to midnight !) I knew it was something special. While Margot is always available to us day or night, I knew she wanted to make sure we got our dream house and she wasn’t going to give up until we got it.  

We saw the house the next day with her and knew it needed some work but it met every item on our wish list. For that reason we were concerned that we would not be in a competitive enough position to ever get.   We went back for the open house two days later knowing that offers would be presented the following day. It was going to be a mulitple-offer situation and that is very scary. Margot went back on Monday with a home inspector so that we would have peace of mind about submitting a firm offer, with no conditions. We were ready and Margot stepped up to the plate and as usual, we were reminded why we have used her for every sale and purchase (and there have been many) so far. She did it and we love her!!   She found our house, she went to bat for us and we came out on top and I am sure it was only by a margin if we are talking about money. We close on the same day as our sale!! There is no other real estate team for us. Margot and Terry Canning will always be our agents of choice and they are who we have recommended to anyone in search of a house or ready to sell. Our friends and family members have been repeat customers and we take great pride knowing that we are 100% behind Margot and Terry because we believe in them. They have done a great job time and time again for us and for that we are so very thankful.
